Mycena epipterygia  var. epipterygia (Scop.) Gray (1821)

This is one of the easiest Mycenas to tell apart on account of its (1) Viscid pileus/stipe (2) Overall coloration and (3) Removable pellicle of both the pileus and stipe. There are a number of varieties listed in the literature, which are much harder to tell apart. In my experience North American and European collections or var. epipterygia are indistinguishable.
